I might have to buy this just out of curiosity. Only 5 bucks.

I love these experimental games/programs.

Not quite as interactive but check out The Graveyard.

Thus far, I've played a smuggler to level 34 and a trooper to level 23 (never been much for force classes), I am really enjoying the gameplay so far, space included. Space is a fun mini game railshooter, they're fun to do about once a day for the daily quests, but past that, they'd be a bit repetitive. I'd recommend the game general, except maybe to Ich since it is quite single player while you level. I like the pvp mini games, hopefully moresoonce the level 50s get their own bracket. It feels a lot like the games in WAR (the best part of that game) and maybe a little global agenda. The companion system is quite novel, they all have personalities, for better or worse. Minuses would be lack of charactercustomization: the races are humans with minor embellishments, and so far crafting is fairly shallow. I subbed for 3 months, willing to give it that long.

If you don't seek grouping out it can be very single player. They even give everyone companions to 'balance' out your class (if you are a healer you get a dps or tank companion etc). These companions allow a person to solo a lot of content designed for groups. I successfully soloed a four man heroic dungeon with my companion and my wits. (I'm proud of that one ;)

But if you do seek it out there are plenty of options, and it has all the standard group elements an MMO is expected to have these days. There are heroic dungeons (coop pve) pvp battle zones (on all servers, there are also pvp servers if you want to live dangerously) and guilds.

So far my grouping has been limited to a few random encounters as well as playing with my wife. But it is absolutely nothing like SWG used to be where social gaming wasn't just available is was actively encouraged if not pushed on you. I'm also not on a RP server in SWTOR so I'm probably limiting myself that way as well.

It is also missing a (relatively) new WoW feature where you could queue for a random dungeon. This would let you select your desired role (tank/healer/dps) and then find a group for you. As far as I'm aware in SWTOR you can flag yourself LFG so people know you are 'looking for group', but there is nothing like that WoW feature. I came to enjoy the WoW feature a fair amount when I played, it allowed you to get into dungeons much faster than trying to form a group with server chat or guild chat. It also meant you would group with random people who you may or may not ever see again. This was good if you are social and they are too, bad if they decide to engage in psychopathic behavior (although your group could vote to kick them).

Update: I still haven't tried space combat. I'll have to update the review or make a second after I do. It's funny, when you think star wars game, space combat is a given. Yet I went without it for so long in SWG that it's an afterthought when I'm playing SWTOR ("oh yeah! i should try that! maybe when i level...")

How much player interaction is there? I heard a while back that the game has "too much" of a single player feel to it.

Coop PvE? PvP? Guilds?

Good Read.

I'm hearing more and more good things about the game. I'm kinda sworn of MMOs, at least till they make a good zombie one.

This one is tempting though, we'll see.
